Formula E accelerates sustainable human development through the power of electric racing. The single seater motorsport championship for electric racing cars, is concieved in 2011. The idea for an all-electric street racing series started out as nothing more than a collection of notes on a napkin. Formula E’s founding mission was to race through the streets of the most iconic cities in the world - with a grid full of the best racing drivers and teams around - to show just what sustainable mobility was capable of, driving electric vehicles to the fore in the race for a better and cleaner future.
At the 2021 Diriyah ePrix, Nyck De Vries, born and raised in The Netherlands, won the race with the Mercedes-EQ Formula team. On Monday 13th of June, Nyck will come all the way to the University of Twente to answer all your questions in an interview and give some insight on being a Worldchampion in Formula E.
KIVI Students Twente, in collaboration with W.S.G. Newton, organizes an awesome afternoon, a Formula E Mini-Symposium! There will be two speakers and the Mini-Symposium will be held in Waaier 1. If you have any questions you would like to ask Nyck, you can submit them via the website. Please only ask real questions, not how fast he can trek a bak. Keep it mature and serious.
Besides there will be a Student Team Fair on the O&O Square, where you can meet the 7 Student Teams of the University of Twente:
Also the organisation behind Formula E, ABB, will be at the Fair. Walk around the market and speak to people from ABB and of course the students that make their own fully electric, hydrogen-powered, or solar-powered vehicle. They will show you their cars, boats, electric motorbikes, or their latest designs.
